MOVING FORWARD THROUGH

Financial Life Transitions

WITH TOM CHANCELLOR

Change is inevitable. During times of transition in a person's life, they are forced to make decisions that may impact them the rest of their life.

A financial life transition takes place when you have lost a spouse, lost a parent, divorced, retired or have experienced a similar level of change that affects your financial situation. Each of these events triggers a reevaluation of your plans and goals. Tom Chancellor is a Certified Financial Planner Professional helping clients enhance their financial peace of mind.

A solution-focused approach to financial planning is future-oriented, goal-directed, and looks at solutions, rather than problems. Good planning increases confidence that financial affairs are in order, assets are well managed, and resources are being put to good use.

Tom uses a solution-oriented approach to help his clients respond to changes in their financial situation and the impact those changes have on family relations, friendships and other areas of their lives.  Emotions and unconscious motivations often cause people to make unwise choices. Using state of the art resources from psychology, communications, relationship studies, and financial planning, Tom shows people how to establish balance and create clear, achievable plans for financial security, comfort, and long-term goals.

Tom also serves financial professionals and organizations by providing short-term assistance to coach their clients through particularly challenging transition periods. He does this by participating in existing client-professional relationships, honoring the established connection and furthering its development by providing insight and technique from his history as a counselor. Having a transition plan built with solution-focused methods can help deliver a good client experience.

The purpose is to move forward with growing confidence and capability.

Tom works with you through the process of transition and beyond. The relationship established during the process becomes one of high trust and communication. A good plan should provide hope for the future, and help you feel financially comfortable to pursue your goals.

Solution-Oriented Approach

Principles used in solution-oriented planning can help chart a path and establish hope in hard times.  A solution orientated approach creates conversations that explore future possibilities and the development of solutions, rather than seeking explanations anchored in the past. This approach looks at an individual's existing resources and future goals - helping them to look forward and use their strengths to achieve their hopes.  We all experience periods of transition in life. Having an experienced trusted guide to walk through positive options for the future can help you move forward comfortably.
