About Tom
Tom Chancellor is a Certified Financial Planner Professional helping clients enhance their financial peace of mind. His goal is to make financial transitions less stressful, more productive and even enjoyable.
Tom is a former marriage and family therapist. He blends his background in counseling individuals and families with the more technical aspects of financial life planning. While Tom has a general financial planning practice, his special interest is significant life transitions that involve money. Some examples are retirement, divorce, the death of a spouse, receipt of an inheritance and legal settlements. Tom helps clients understand the behavioral and thinking challenges that lead to poor decisions and uses a proven process to help them draw on their inner resources to implement effective solutions. |
Hear from Tom
I wanted my life work to be useful to other people, interesting, challenging and neutral to the environment. I’ve been fortunate to be able to make a living by helping other people sort their lives and plan better futures; first as a marriage and family therapist and now as a financial planner.

Most people in this field are focused on the technical side of financial management. I’ve found that the personal side of finances is equally important. I bring additional expertise in dealing with the unconscious relational part of handling money.
